What did The Plaza add?

When The Plaza opened in 2021, it added an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a physical therapy office, an outdoor theater, a restaurant and 1950s-style diner, a bowling alley, a full-service bar and a tea room.[5] The San Diego Business Journal also reported a pharmacy open to residents and non-residents, a credit union, and a doctor’s office staffed by Sharp HealthCare.[5][4]

What dining is available?

Assisted living residents eat in the Montecito Restaurant.[6] The community describes its executive chef as “award-winning” and mentions a Sunday champagne and mimosa brunch;[7] the award itself is not named on the pages reviewed.

The Heritage Steakhouse, a New York-style restaurant on the sixth floor of The Legacy, was reported in May 2026 as a $2.5 million project seating about 120 people. It was slated to open in mid-summer 2026 to residents and the public, with a rooftop lounge to follow.[3] A July 2026 magazine feature listed the steakhouse and rooftop lounge among The Legacy’s amenities.[8]
